Dr Shatta is a Senior Clinical Lecturer and Module Lead for the Aesthetic Medicine MSc and PGDip programmes at Queen Mary. He is a qualified general practitioner, skin surgeon and aesthetic doctor with wide experience in these fields. Obtaining his medical degree in 2002, he completed his basic surgical training in 2009 and has been a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England since.
He trained in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery in England for five years. In 2015, he obtained his Master of Science qualification in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery with Distinction. Dr Shatta is fully registered with the GMC and a member of The Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP).
